Miranda and Jeb are getting married tomorrow, but she won’t be wearing the gown that has been passed down for several generations in her family. Instead, we scheduled a separate session so she could have photos in the family heirloom while still getting to wear the dress of her dreams on her big day. This is the story of the dress, told on her wedding day:
The dress in these photos is her grandmother’s; it is 67 years old. Miranda’s mother and both of her aunts wore the dress for their weddings, as well as Miranda’s cousin. Grandma Risius said her dad bought her the dress for $100 in 1945. He complained about how expensive it was. How happy he would be to know it’s been worn by not only his daughter, but his granddaughters and great-granddaughters too!

And this gorgeous cape is her grandmother’s handiwork. 🙂
