This session brings it all around full circle for me. Back when I was fresh out of high school and figuring out my path in life, I had a part time job working for Sandra Pearce Photography – anyone who has stuck around Okeechobee for any amount of time knows Sandra – she’s a pillar in our community and a damn fine photographer/artist. I vividly remember sitting at her kitchen counter, sorting and filing negatives and numbering 4×6 proofs and soaking in all the wisdom she was willing to throw my way. And one of the sessions that came across my workspace was of Cole and Franny and their infant daughter, Taylor. She had taken family photos for them a few months earlier just before Cole’s passing. I remember looking at this little girl who would never get to know her father, and my young naive heart broke for her. I’ve never let go of that feeling watching her grow up. She’s grown into a very intelligent, classy young lady and I’m beyond honored to have gotten the opportunity to take these photos for her at this time in her life. A time when she’s moving into the scary world of grown ups and responsibility. A time when she can go out there and take the world by storm. Congratulations on being a 2015 graduate, Taylor!
